Biography

Born and raised in southern Italy, by a wonderful mum and dad, to whom I owe everything. After Scientific High School, I moved to Bologna for a BSc in Statistical Sciences and a MSc in Data Science at Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna.

I then moved to Trieste for a research fellowship offered by the WHO Collaborating Centre for Maternal & Child Health at the Burlo Garofolo Hospital, where I went on to become an Health Researcher in the Department of Genetics and the Universitary Department of the Paediatric Clinic. In the meantime, I obtained a Second-level Short Specialisation degree in Machine learning and big data in precision medicine and biomedical research from the University of Padua and started a PhD course in Artificial Intelligence and Applied Data Science at the University of Trieste.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with amazing people in various parts of the world. During my BSc, I collaborated with the Unit of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Public Health - University of Padova. During my MSc, I worked as a research associate at the Research Center of the Deutsche Bundesbank and I collaborated with the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences. Currently, during my PhD, I’m collaborating on a European research project at the Law Department of the University of Genova and with the UCD school of mathematics and statistics.
